HISSEMA - the 'Hannover International Summer School of Economics and management' has been founded in 2003 as a joint undertakting between Leibniz Universität Hannover and the California Polytechnical University Pomona. HISSEMA offers lectures in International Management and Business Administration with topics such as the German economy, its integration into the European Union and the World economy. The program is supplemented by lectures on the "German Culture, Business and Language". In addition, students are offered a 3-day excursion to Berlin. This year, 20 international students attend HISSEMA.
Selected German Students can participate in the School as part of their exchange program at the University Pomona, where they spend a quarter (September-December).
The School started with a get-together of international and German students and teachers with a BBQ.
