The program is supplemented by lectures on the "German Culture, Business and Language". In addition, students are offered a 3-day excursion to Berlin. This year, 20 international students attend HISSEMA.

Selected German Students can participate in the School as part of their exchange program at the University Pomona, where they spend a quarter (September-December).
The School started with a get-together of international and German students and teachers with a BBQ.
